Home What we do Where we do it

Black Park Model Boat Club is a friendly non-competitive club that is open to new members at any time. Membership is open to all the family and includes public liability insurance cover. The club covers all aspects of model boating ranging from yachts to scale models on an informal basis but petrol engines and fast electrics are not allowed on the lake.

The club uses the lake at Black Park on Thursday afternoons from 12pm and Sunday mornings. The address is Black Park Road, Slough, SL3 6DS and is signposted from the A412 between Slough and Ivor Heath. There is a large car park near the lake which costs £2.50 weekdays (except August) and £3.50 weekends valid all day. The 500 acre park has toilets and cafés.

The club also meets every other month at St. John’s Church Hall, Stoke Poges Lane, SL1 3LW. This is opposite Granville Avenue and the meetings start at 8pm.

Once a year there is a whole day regatta at the lake where other clubs are invited and money raised for a local charity. This year we are supporting Thames Hospice.

The club regularly displays at national and local model shows such as Beale Park, Alfold, Sumners Pond and the Warwick International Boat show.
