    What we do

Black Park Model Boat Club is a friendly non competitive club that is open to new members at any time.
Membership is open to all the family and includes public liability insurance cover.
The club regularly displays at national events and more local shows, raising awareness of both the club and the hobby as a whole.
The Black Park Club covers all aspects of model boating with members models ranging from Yachts to fine scale models of warships and other powered craft.
During sailing sessions you can often see 'scale sail' models such as Thames Barges, scale powered craft such as tugs, trawlers, lifeboats, electric powerboats, fully operational model submarines and even hovercraft all sharing the large lake.
Most types of model boats are catered for and the sailing is informal but please note that IC powered craft are not permitted.
The club has an annual 'open day' or regatta. this year the proceeds are in support of the RNLI.

    Where we meet

Black Park is near to Slough, Buckinghamshire and is located south of the famous Pinewood Film Studios where the James Bond Movies and Harry Potter were made.
The lake is situated in a country park owned and operated by Buckinghamshire County Council.
There is ample parking in the pay and display car park (managed by Buckinghamshire County Council) which is only a few minutes walk from the lakeside.
The current cost of parking is £2 per day, however an annual season ticket is available.
There are toilet and cafeteria facilities on site and these are suitable for the disabled.
Electric Mobility scooters are available. These need to be booked and reserved in advance from the park rangers in Centenary lodge.
Black Park Lake is partially a nature reserve and partially used for various leisure activities.
The Club has the use of these waters at any time but the usual sailing days are Sunday mornings from 9.30am onwards and Thursday's from about noon onwards.

We look forward to seeing you.

    Club Nights

The club meets regularly at St John's Church Hall, Stoke Poges Lane (opposite Granville Avenue, OS grid reference SU974817), for meetings with occasional guest speakers.
